Default vishnu remap

what do you think about vishnu's remap of the computer. i have an 04 wrx with a catless up pipe, 3rd cat is removed, and i have a borla cat back. i want to get the underdrive kit from vishnu. what hp sould i expect from the mods and a remap. is it worth the $650?
thanks steve

Compare the cost of the Vishnu, to Cobb, and a ECUtek reflash. Vishnu and Cobb are arguably safer and slower than ECUteck, while Cobb is probably the price winner. Compare, search, and decide for yourself.

Ditch the underdrive idea, your robbing peter to pay paul so to speak. Better off with just a lightweight standard diameter crank pulley.

The Vishnu remap is just an ECUTEK reflash using vishnu's own maps.

Take a look around, I know AL from Dynoflash was offering the same price but was also tuning them versus a generic map. Its hard to get hooked up with himn though, he's busy. I tried to no avail last weekend at Buschur. But, a custom tune for the price most people pay for just a generic ECUTEK reflash and license is a good deal.

I'd say at least 20-50hp increase depending on a generic or custom tune.

Vishnu offers both the Ecutek reflash service and the Xede piggyback/interceptor as engine management options for the STi.

Al is bad at returning calls--but not that hard to get ahold of. Many tuners are like that though and its almost to be expected. Personally, I had a great experience with Al. He knows his **** and went out of his way to come down to try to tune my car(it was undrivable so he drove an hour to meet up with me). He explained to me beforehand how everything works and exactly what to expect. Unfortunately issues with my car(wasn't building boost...wastegate leak) prevented him to complete tuning my car...but even after going out of his way and having no obligation to help me get my car running properly(after he already spent a good 3 hours of his time) he gave me a drivable reflash and offered to retune it for free in a few weeks time. He's been pretty good since then with following up helping me diagnose whats wrong with my car. That's good business in my book.

Btw, Al also only charged me $750...compared to the $900 to $1050 I was being quoted elsewhere.
