Question Engine oil in air filter

Doing my 30K service and had some questions about my air filter. First off I found the hose to my PCV valve unconnected. I'm not sure If I somehow knocked it off while fooling around, or if it's been like that for a while but maybe that could explain what I saw on the Filter?

The first picture is the air filter coming from head on. You can see the black oily spot. The second picture, (showed up great with a flash) you can see oil seeping in throung the front and passenger sive (vents?) into the airbox.

Is this normal? What can be causing this?

I've also noticed a louder exhaust on hard acceleration (related to PCV not hooked up?)

Thanks from a first-poster!

You may want to cross ref this thread in the NA forum..

I imagine that the oil coming into the vent is not a good thing although a friend with a SVT Lightning did have oil in his Throttle body and Ford said that it was normal.. Just a guess that there is some sort of similarity..

Replace your PCV valve. Make sure you haven't overfilled the crankcase with oil.
