Default my left headlight is out & it's not the bulb

One of the headlight on my 2001 Subaru Impreza is out and it's not the bulb. the connector that attaches to the bulb is loose and will only turn the bulb on if I jiggle it just right. What is this connector called? how much does it cost and how do i change it?

thanks

Have you been using aftermarket bulbs by any chance? It's very common for such bulbs to cause damage to the connectors from excessive heat.
Replacement H4 connectors should be available at any parts store as a unit with wire pigtails that you splice into the harness after cutting off the old connector.

Yes this is the square plug that connects to the bulb.

do you have a link to where i can buy this connector? I called the dealer and they wanted ~ $300 for the wiring harness. They told me they don't sell the connector separately. Pep Boys doesn't carry it.

No link, but I'd be surprised if Pep Boys really didn't have this. If somehow they don't try the other major chain stores.
Forget the dealer, as you found out they do not sell the connectors independently of the harness.

LOL I couldn't believe it either. I've called 2 different Pep Boys and they both said they don't carry it and recommended I go to a junkyard or dealer.

Are you sure you're asking for the right thing? I know I've seen this in stores.

I asked for the H4 headlight pigtail or connector or the "thing that connects into the light bulb."

LOL

Ok, here's a link-

You just need to make sure that the H4 connectors listed are the proper gender (you need female ones).

Might as well upgrade while you are at it.

Rhdude is using this and I haven't heard a complaint about them.
