Default dohc motor with sohc heads?

i have a 98 rs but am probably picking up a 2001 that was hit in the side for the front bumper but the engine is fine...

would it be worth my while to put the sohc heads, manifold, TB, map sensor etc into my car? i have 90k miles now and the head gaskets haven't blown yet i figure i'm on barrowed time

would i loose power gain power? would it be easier to just swap the entire motor out

i read that putting my heads on that block yeilds high compression so logic says that going the other way will loose compression and thereby a lot of power

would i be better off since i had it to just swap the motor get better gaskets and put my heads on it and run premium

how much more power does doing that add?

how much would i loose swapping the heads on my current engine?

turbo may or may not be in the future. obviously putting the lower comp heads on my block would be more ideal for turbo as would be the map...

i have a lot of questions and i'm hoping you guys have a lot of answers

the 98 is way old school as far as technology goes... i dot think u can do a 99 ecu either...
98 ECUs are not reflashable

and your better off keeping the dohc setup... too much work... search project frankenstien (there was a guy who put a sohc motor in a dohc car and used the dohc ecu)

what about keeping the rest and just swapping the heads loosing compression and turbo/supercharger

just changing to the lower comp sohc heads wouldn't require ecu change (i know a full out turbo would need standalone etc.)
