utec stg 2 knock problem

I had knock over 5K rpm under wot with my utec even though I've been running 94 octane since I got the car...

so the CEL flashed, I let the off the gas.... wot again... CEL... let off... wot again coz I was so mad... CEL .... I gave up

go home and upload the octane challenged stage2 which has more retard timing

set up: full 3" TBE, TXS uppipe, IC hose, TXS ABC that came with the utec fully closed (least boost setting possible)

its 4.2c firmware and I uploaded the stage 2 map from

to my surprise the stage 1 and stage 2 on the update page is exactly the same (I used clegg.com to make life easier)

I'm a complete noob with utec... someone please fill me up with this... why am I getting knock with the stage2 map?
