Have you tried subaruparts.com? It may be just cheaper getting it local as s&h can sometimes offset the savings you get from an online dealer/vendor.

the pinout was posted on www.scoobymods.com. Someone here posted it too. I think it was under a thread titled "fog lights on with highbeams" or something to that effect.

For small parts like that, there really isn't much benefit to mail ordering in terms of cost - list price on the part (83001FE000) is $29.60 - online + shipping is going to be about the same, give or take a dollar or two.

Any online dealership will work, if you choose to go that way - www.subarugenuineparts.com is a forum supporter, so they are always good to go with - others like www.subaruparts.com or www.subaruwrxparts.com are also just fine. (cheapest way is to get a used one, though)

Respectfully, purchase an OEM switch.

The amount of time you will spend trying to figure out the pins, let alone trying to source the terminals (unless you're into hacking and cutting) is not worth it.

or you can look for someone parting a car out. it should be plug and play. you can probably get it for 10 bucks shipped. theres plenty of people parting 03 wrx.

Is it common for these switches to go out? That would explain my fog light problem.
