Hi guys,
As some of you know, I've opened up my business here in Vancouver. Here's the low down, and we don't sell car parts: I have a little restaurant located at 740 Denman Street, downtown Vancouver. If you guys are looking for some real Italian/Mediteranean food,in a setting that's casual but cool, then look no further. Prices are very reasonable, and the food is always fresh. Don't be too suprised when you see a chinese guy doing all the cooking in the back either. I've got 17 years of experience cooking, so I've got the credentials. Although we've had some passer-bys who keep asking if we do Korean BBQ Our website: www.cafelucia.shawbiz.ca . You can check out our sample menu from there too. We also have free wireless internet, but you have to provide the laptop. I've had people try to borrow my Powerbook to check their email! btw, is anyone going to the open track day at PIR? I think it's in March. If I can get the day off I'll attend. The Turbo is probably all seized up by now, I haven't touched it in so long! It would be cool to caravan again. Thanks guys, and I hope to see you at the store!

Wicked. I live about a 2 minute drive from Denman! I'll have to check out your restaurant. Did you move from the States just to open this up?

fukamoto,
I moved up here last March, for several reasons. One of them being Bush was gonna be re-elected (I just knew the numbskull would be back for another term). I also happen to like it a lot more here than in Seattle. People are little more intelligent here, well-travelled, and "cosmopolitan". impulse777, no, we're not fully licensed. I had the option of getting the liquor license, but I decided against it. I don't think I'm ready for that kind of responsibility to the public yet. And, yeah, we're really close to the ramen place. |

hehe. You guys can come whenever you want. The place is a bit small though, so you'll prolly have to take turns!
sheesh. I haven't even looked at the turbo in a while, the thing is prolly all seized up. I'm just commuting in a POS lexus. One that has been rolled over 3 times, in 4 fender benders, and dragging something underneath Talk about stealth. But, if the stars all lined correctly, I will go to track at PIR. And pummel the snot out of the turbo. |

Sorry I'm not much of a rice fan and even less of a risotto fan. I guess it shows.

I make this like once a week. It's pretty fun, but you have to get the dough just right, or it turns into lead sinkers when it cooks. Tricky, but fun. |

I've only rolled/cut/rolled/blanched gnocci, but the process is fun/different.
We panfried and served in a 3 cheese alf. sauce. DAMN good! Its been a while and i'm 2 lazy to want to make it for myself, so I'll stop by next week. Best of luck Man! |
