Blitz R-VIT

I need some help installing this gadget. I have 5 wires and i need to determine which wire is which. The wires are :

orange
red
black
white
green

I emailed blitz-na a few weeks ago and they don't seem to want to respond. Mainly, i need to figure out which wire connects to the cigarette lighter adapter. Thanks for any help.

Did you buy new in box or used?

I'd have to find my instructions... but the wires that connect to the cigarette lighter should have their own connector.

I'd have to look at mine.

i bought mine used, i spoke to you on aim about it before...

the guy i bought it from didn't include the cigarette lighter, but all i have to do is find an a power source that turns on when ign is on. also, he also cut all the wires so i have no idea what it looked like originally.

OK yeah I was wondering if that was you. He wasn't able to find the cigarette lighter then?

I'll see if I can find my instructions and let you know what the wiring is because IIRC, it has a diagram (why the hell doesn't Blitz put PDFs of their manuals up?!)

Sounds like you're definitely going to have to hardwire then. And wait, he cut all the wires? Including the ones to the OBD port? Do you still have the OBD connector even?

I still have the OBD-II connector, he reattached the wires together and used electrical tape. I found a user manual online, only problem is its in japanese

i managed to get this thing working. turns out, the orange wire doesn't do anything, and the ignition wire connects to the white wire. however, my unit does not turn on when i turn my car on. i have to press the button before it turns on. out of curiousity, anyone know what the "strobo" feature is in the menu? thanks

the orange one might be a ground or a solution to the lack of auto-on feature

Same here, mine doesn't power on when the car starts like the SBC-iD does... would be nice if it did however
