Welcome!
The FIRST thing you should do is tighten the nut behind the wheel!

That being said, what are the goals for your new baby? Better handling/ braking?
More Bling? Sportier exhaust note?
It's easier to offer suggestions when you have an idea in mind...

welcome~!

com'n, let's give the poor lantec a break...

first mod i'd say...break in your car and get synthetic oil?

i myself would probably want to get familiarize with the car first then start modding and feel the difference~
break-in period is a good time for this since u can't drive fast during break in periods anyways...also, u can have plenty of time during the break-in period to see which particular aspect of the car do u dislike the most, then do research on which replacement parts to get and find those parts...

happy modding the car~

You can ask all the advice here you want -- But USUALLY the best answers will be found when you look into the specific forums for things such as suspension, engine management, wheels/tires.. etc.

I find the VIC forum more of a social regarding misc subjects and only sometimes technical stuff.

Enjoy your car stock (for reals) -- it probably wont stay like that for long if you plan on reading up on things here more and more.

Good luck.

welcome!

these guys here help out tons and if they dunno the answers they will point you in the right direction.....

but i would learn how to drive the car first and become really familiar with it before you start to mod it.... makes a big difference knowing how your car will react when you rip it, slide it or wutever it

Welcome to the club.

Anyway, I consider these mods necessary to achieving Subaru driving bliss.
-steering rack bushings
-tires
-rear swaybar
-shifter bushings

we're talking less than $300 in parts (aside from the tires) and a huge increase in driving fun. After that, the sky's the limit.

Thx for the welcome...feel great being here

i am still a member of clubrsx and was a lil hassitant about joining another board since i've heard and seen some horrible things that happens in some boards....ie revscene can get pretty nasty...but now i'm glad to be here!!!

i think the first mod might be rims and tires since i find the 16's very small on the car and probably shifter bushings too

amarpauld, you don't need to run the endlinks or brackets with the 22-26mm bar on the streets.
If anything, they offer piece of mind for those who run hard on the odd track day, but they're definately not necessary. I recommend that you buy the bar first, then the endlinks and brackets when the budget allows.

I ran a few autoX days, and some serious hard driving before going with the solid endlinks (kartboy, I'm not a big whiteline fan), and upon removal there were no fractures or problems with the stocker units. They're just small.

Subie Darkness, you're scared of revscene?

that's sad.
