Default Dead o2 Sensor only after 9k miles

I installed a TBE maybe 9k miles ago, my car currently has 15k miles on it and my rear 02 sensor that screws into my PDE downpipe seems to be dead already, is this normal?

What makes you think it's dead? Are you getting a check engine light? Are you using any kind of ecu management or CEL defeats?

Subaru had to replace my second 02 sensor almost as soon as I picked up the car, it was defective, the car had 400 miles on it when it first threw the code, it was replaced under warranty and I've not had a problem since.

perhaps you are throwing the CEL for a cat inefficiency?? and not for the reason of having a dead O2 sensor?

And the sensor is getting too hot with the lack of cats, and is throwing a code. If you keep the sensor, get a mechanical fix (screws into DP bung, and sensor screws into spacer). I went that route, no problems in 5k.
