Default cobb stg 3?

Just went to the cobb site for the first time in a while, and it appears they took away all references to the stg 3 power package for the wrx, which if i remember correctly was due last summer, then last fall, and now apparetently never. I don't see any refference to it at all anymore. Did they give up. I wonder if they will keep working with stg 2.5. Anybody know anything?

I liked the Access Port just fine...

Sadly, when it came time to move beyond Stage 2, I had no choice but wait for an undeterminet length of time for an unknown stage 3, or go somewhere else.

I went with TurboXS Stage 4 (TBE, Turbo, TMIC, Intake, & ECUtek). 258whp/217/wt is pretty damn nice!

cobbs stage 2.5 with vf34, i put down 272whp and 259wtq. on the same exact dyno i put down 225whp 224wtq with cobbs stage 2 plus header.
Cobb does suck though. i cant belive they dont have a stage 3 map yet or even stage 4. if i want anymore power ive got to change EM.

well, i want a reliable tune, and i really dont have money to dip into a utec.

i dont have headers... i'm basically bare bones 2.5

list o' mods:

Stock intake box and filter
vf34
stock intercooler
sti pink injectors
walbro 255lph fuel pump
txs upipe
godspeed downpipe
3" (modified) spt midpipe (resonator welded at flange from downpipe.
2.5" txs magnaflow axleback.

would i still expect above 250whp? i think a guy put down roughly 255 whp pretty bare bones. i guess i'm just setting my goal low so if its at all higher, just a better bonus

Please post in the right forum.

There are many experts on different facets of Subauru information. They tend to view and respond in the forums where their knowledge level is highest. By posting in the inappropriate forum, you are not only diluting the wrong forum, but short changing the search results of others and increasing the chances of an expert missing your question.

Sure, 250w is quite reasonable with the mods you've list. I hit 258whp with an ECUtek reflash (Mustang Dyno @ Matrix Integrated in Portland).

In fact, I'm hoping to go back in March to have the Utec installed and get tuned for C16. Maybe some CUS headers while I'm at it.... was reading this thread HERE yesterday. Cliff Notes: 330whp/325wt on C16 @ 24psi!

There will be NO preordering, I already asked.

The street tuner will only be a distributor product, and will not be offered directly from CObb..

I put down 249whp on a DD Dyno, which notoriously read low/acurate.

Hopefully they ditched the idea of a stage 3 so they could concentrate on the accesstuner. I don't think there would be much of a point to spend the R&D on a stage 3 (map tuning) when the accesstuner is on it way... I have a feeling once the tuner is released everyone will go their own route and get their own custom tunes...
