Thanks their 5v relays are NO, like all the 5v I have found (or they are DT which I need ST. Seems no one makes NC (or dual) ST 5v relays.

Ok, try Newark Electronics- http://www.newark.com

Also what's wrong with using a DT relay and just connecting the NC contacts?

My bust a DT would be fine, I can't find any 5v relays that have a NC contact that isn't a latching type.

Basically I can't find any 5v relays that will leave a circuit closed when there is no reference signal on the coil circuit and opens when there is a reference signal on the coil circuit. All the ones with NC contacts are DPDT I meant.

I can't use a solid state transistor relay because the reference circuit is on a different power source than the circuit I need opened.

Basically I want to disable a momentary on circuit from turning the car on when a laptop is already running (I will be using power from a USB port to indicate the laptop is already running.

Basically looking for relay 2 with a coil that activates on a 5v source.

For instance I would use this if I could figure out how to make it work in the above circuit.

That would work very well, if the one I am trying from Newark electronics doesn't work then I will definitely be trying that one.
