Question ECUtek in Comparison to UTEC...

Hello! I am planning on upgrading EM to either a ECUtek or UTEC. I understand that the ECUtek is a reflashed ECU and the UTEC is a piggyback. I have done much searching and am still confused on one thing:

Is there a big difference performance wise between a reflashed ECU and piggyback?

What are there pluses and minuses?

I cannot figure out which one to go with. Another important fact is that I cannot tune my car. I would need someone else to. Thank you!

I'm in the same boat as you and don't know whether I should go reflash or Piggyback. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I would highly recommend ECUTek for STi's. Please do this even if you are getting a UTEC. It makes the drivability much nicer.

so you can run a reflash with EcuTek the have Utec? so the reflash will advance you stock timing, fuel, idle, then when the UTEC kicks in it`s a smothier transition between the 2 right??

thanks for the info
