Default What to do with my A/C now?

So, I've got the v8 specC engine in, and I'm working on hoses and wires. Right now, I've still got the JDM compressor on, but it won't work with the hoses. I imagine getting JDM hoses would be a PITA or $$$. I need to retain A/C, although if this was not a daily driver, I would ditch it.

Just wondering what others have done with the A/C.

Put the A/C compressor from the RS on the STi engine.

Either this or go to a local A/C shop and see if they have anything that fits or can fab up the hoses to work.

I didn't know the RS had a compressor that was different from the WRX. Will any year RS work? Does it fit to the STi bracket?

Just use the compressor off of the engine that came out of the car.

Yea, compressor, lines, everything that came stock on the car will work. I had to bend one of the lines a tiny bit to get it to clear a bracket on the usdm ej20, but it worked fine.

You may also need to bend the line that runs along the firewall to avoid it them rubbing against the bottom of the intercooler.

Umm, I don't see how. The mounting bracket for the compressor/alt is totally different between the WRX and JDM STi. But anyway, the parts that came out are going with the EJ205, so its not an option.

Off topic: I get so mad when I see a/c hoses and ps hoses cut off when another 5 minutes work would allow them to come out. I know that time is money, but sheesh.
