I recently tweaked my vertical headlight aim because it was a bit off, and I recall that the 04's have "not horizontally adjustable" headlights.
For the life of me I swore my beams were pointed WAY to the right, that is, my driver's side headlight beam was visible in the middle of the bumper of the car in front of me, and my passenger side headlight was not even close ![]() I double checked it on a dark road and the beams were pointed to the right. The curious person I am, I noticed that there are horizontal adjustment screws, they just have clips covering the screw. I adjusted my lights to exactly centered, and noticed big dead spots in my beams, very annoying when you're moving, more noticible when you're turning. Of course, I figured they are not to be tampered with, and I was able to see fine the way it was before, so I put it back to how it was. I'm just curious why the lights are designed this way, was there a particular reason? Most cars i've seen have the beams aimed in the center horizontal-wise. ? ![]()

look at the back of the headlights- you'll see a long protrusion- pop off the plastic cap at the end and you'll be able to adjust left and right.

Actually, I was curious why they are specified as "non-horizontally adjustable". I read that somewhere, not sure if it is stated in the manual. I'm just cautious that the beams were designed a certain way.
