Hello,
How tight are the clamps on the radiator hoses supposed to be? I think I saw somewhere about measuring the length of the clamp where the screw goes through on the OEM style clamps. It's just that the wire clamps from the factory are a bit harder to "feel" when they are tightened down. Thanks! Jay

Tighten with light to very moderate force until it won't tighten anymore, you should be able to feel it. Just don't go crazy and crank down on it.

Thanks for the response... I noticed that the guys that tighten the clamps down at the factory must use an impact wrench to tighten the clamps down
. I'm thinking of just upgrading the clamps since I already see some cracks in the rubber where the hose has been clamped too tight. Jay |

If you see cracks in the rubber, I would just go ahead and replace the rad hoses with some silicone hoses the next time you change your coolant.

I tighten to a tolerance where I cannot twist the hose loose or unseat it in any way.
