Default FS: Flip Top Cover for PStwo/Slim PS2

Looks like this, for use with boot discs. Brand new, never been used. $20.

Thanks for viewing.

http://www.ps2lid.com for install instructions!

This + Swap magic is the way to go if you want to mod your slim PS2 without sacrificing your on-line playability. Plus, there's no mod chips involved, so no chance of other people scewing up your PS2.

Basically, this lid + cover lets u use the Swap Magic boot discs. It allows the boot discs to be taken out of the PS2 by lifting the circular lid, while the square plastic surround cover tricks the PS2 into thinking the cover is still closed. Using that, the PS2 won't stop operating since the cover is not really open.

So without modding the system, you can play burnt games by just using that ?

Using that and the Swap Magic boot discs.

In my opinion, if you're gonna go solder-less, this is the way to go.

You can' t play burnt games with just the flip top alone. You need a swapping method.

You need a flip top + Swap Magic + non-soilder chip to play backups. It's the only way to go if you don't know how to soilder. All can be bought at www.modchip.ca but those guys are quite pricey.

You don't need that "non-solder chip" to play backups on the slim PS2's. You only need the flip top + latest swap magic. I know because I have one. Works like a charm.

here is the question, what is "swap magic"? is it like some sort of boot disc that older generation of modded PS2 uses (like mine) where u boot the system up with that disc then changes to the backup game afterwrads?? how much will the swap magic cost?
