Default keyless entry with car on? diagram?

I'm lookin for a fix to get my keyless entry to work with the car on, it works on most other cars while it is on that i know of. I've already tried a method that works with a turbo timer but no luck... (05 wrx)

anyone have a wiring diagram?

If your key is in the ignition, then your Keyless entry wont work. Keyless entry and alarm is disarmed when you put the key in the ignition. I guess its just disconnect the wire that connects the key in the ignition and the keyless entry. Try popping the steering wheel columb off and see if a wire runs from ignition to the keyless entry. It's a copyright violation for anyone to resell or otherwise distribute the manuals from Subaru. Why not just pay the modest $20 fee and download your own legal copy of the entire manual, then you'll have all the info you need to work on your car, whenever you want it.

Yup, for a $20 subscription fee you get 72 hours of access, for all-you-can-download (with a 20 file-per-hour limit). As long as you have a good broadband connection you can get the whole manual as well as any other tech documents of interest, such as TSB's. You will have to spend some time organizing all the individual files but it's worth it considering the hard copy manuals are $300+, maybe more for the 04/05's.

Yes you're correct, I hadn't actually checked the site in a while. Not surprising, it was at $20 for a long time so an increase was due. Still a good deal though if you're planning to do work and maintenance on your car.

okay, I got the wiring diagram I needed, but now im stumped, thought for sure I had the wire, so I unplugged it from the plug, and tried it out, at first I thought woo hoo got it.. but one small problem, the doors dont lock or unlock, only the blinkers flash and car chirps... with the key in the car I hear 2 relays or w/e coming from the keyless box, click click, right in sync with the lights/chirps... when I take the key out and try it, i hear 4 of those clicks from the box, one in sync with the locks actuating, 2 in sync with the lights, and 1 afterwards which I think turns on the light inside when you unlock... Mulder would it be ok to post one of the pictures in the diagram so people can help me out? or do I have to draw my own? any help is appreciated

Yes a single diagram excerpt from the manual is ok.

ok, i pulled the 2 wires with red boxes on them, one connects the key ignition to the keyless entry box, the other connects the keyless entry box to a fuse (still trying to figure out exactly which fuse) I tried the one in the yellow box, nothing, I plan on trying the one in the blue box...

symptoms, with the 2 red boxes removed, keyless works normally, but only flashes lights and chirps when you have the key in the ignition...

after removing the yellow box, it went back to normal operation, so i put it back

i think the blue one might work as it is the only other connection for the ignition in this diagram... any thoughts tips or suggestions?
