Car acts like it wants to stall

Alright guys, this isn't a Subie related problem, but hopefully you guys can still help. My daily driven vehicle is a 97 Pontiac Sunfire. Here lately, when I drive the car, it acts like it wants to stall, but doesn't (until today where it stalled coming into the subdivision). When you are holding the pedal steady or let off the gas and go to get back on it, the car hesitates for a few secs and then picks back up.

I have replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the egr valve, throttle body and the plugs and wires are in good shape. Any ideas?

Could the fuel pressure regulator be going bad?!? Thanks for your help guys and girls!

I would have guessed the EGR valve, but you cleaned that. Maybe it needs to be replaced?
