Default Licence Plate Problemo

I got a problem about license plate, hope you all cool Imprezers can help me out.

My rear license plate for some reason keeps moving back and forth or in order words, it is not in place. From my inspection, I think that the screws holding the plate to the car is too long for the holes drilled into the car.

Qs
1) Am I heading the right direction on solving the problem?
2) Isn't stock screws perfect fit? If it is the screws' problem, where can I get new screws?
3) Can it be possibly the holes in the car's problem?

Thanks for looking . . .

Do you have a license plate frame for the plate? I remember when I put the plate on without the frame it wouldnt hold in place and the screws seemed too long, needed a thick frame.. just an idea, you prob have one

Hey thanks for replying lightning fast..! I used to have a license plate frame, however, I removed it.

So are you saying that you have the same problem without a frame away? I found the front plate has no problem without a frame.

The screws you have are probably made to use with a frame. I dont have a frame and the screws are maybe 1 cm in lengh from what I remember.

if you dont want a frame on there, take the plate off, put in a couple washers between he plate and your car and put the screws back in. issue solved

you can use rubber washers probably or use metal ones on the outside of the plate.

yeah, well i dont think you would want to use metals ones on the outside cuz it would look tacky. But you can find rubber ones at crappy tire or home depot or pretty much anywhere. The other thing is, usually where the screws go in to hold the license plate is a piece of plastic slight raised above the paint of the car anyways, and its behind the plate, but either rubber or metal would work. Actually, you can probably find plastic ones as well.

so check
crappy tire
home depot
wal-mart

or any other store like that - they should only be a 1$ or 2$ for a package of more than enough.
