No experience but I am thinking about tire choice for the spring/summer. I've narrowed it down to this tire and Dunlop SP5000's. I'm also interested to hear if anyone else has opinions on this tire.

I had them on my car because Yenners praised them... but I didn't like them and didn't think they were worth my while... so I sold them off after about 5 months of usage

They were good for everyday driving I guess... but they perform quite similar to the Falken Ziex Ze-512 on my car now... but of course the Falkens are cheaper...

Mirage has them on his car. I drove it in a slalom at autox school and thought they felt pretty decent.

I had Falken 512 before and I like them a lot, very quiet tires. But I think the Toyo has a bigger contact area due to the square shoulder, anyone can confirm that??

I have them on my car and i like them. I am not quite sure what they are like in the snow, but they are pretty decent in the wet.

I used SP 5000 at my GC b4......they preform good in wet and dry....but I never drag and autocross, so i don't know much about that.. the only down side on this tires are the side wall are quite soft

and the noise level is LOW

Funny, I thought they were pretty bad. That said, I haven't driven a Subaru in almost a year's time at autox so I don't remember how they drive in the first place.

Didn't Kent (Keiho) had them for a while? I thought he didn't like them too much?

I'm pretty sure he had FZ4s. The Proxes 4 wasn't even out yet back then.

Have them on my Mazda3. During winter/heavy snow, they were predictable. On the first day when the streets were just filled with snow (No salt yet), I was driving normally. There were SUVs, Trucks (those old F150s & some chevy truck) slipping & unable to climb the slope between 33rd/arbutus & kitsalano(sp)/41st. They were all over the place and just revving pethatically where I was just driving normally but slowly.

Dry/Rain performance is not bad. I slammed HARD on the brakes bout 2 weeks ago on No. 1 doing 120ish and was suprised that there was so much bite before it started to give. Same goes for the dry, cornering is true and the grip started to give in a gradual and predictable manner. I believe it is a pretty good tire but please do not expect SO-2 levels of grip. Oh not to mention that they are pretty cheap too. (Not kumho/korean cheapo cheap but very afforadable) They are a good balance of all weather/price if you are placing it on a daily driver with decent HP. Ride comfort is no worse than the stock POS that came with the car. Noise, is ok, though I can't really tell as 99% of the time I have the windows slightly open for ventilation and my my music is pretty loud hee hee.

Don't you know that I have use of a time machine ergo I got the Proxes 4 before they were even designed.

Sweet, but I must say that's pretty much the lamest use of a time machine I can think of.
