Nahhhh... it's just plain old addiction. I even checked the board from the Subaru dealership one time when the parts guy dialed up and then walked away.

1000 posts is pretty impressive Rob since you haven't owned an Impreza for a while.

Now that you've seen the new Impreza do you think there's any chance of you owning another? Obviously driving it will be a big part of any decision, but I'm just curious.

Colin,

That's a good question. I don't plan on selling my car anytime soon (though I have said that every time....). Until I know exactly what is going to be available in the US (and more importantly, what power level it can be readily modified to) and the real price it would be hard to decide. It is sort of homely looking, but that's not a big deal.

If you get it into the low 13's easily and if it is under 30K it will be interesting. We'll see.

BTW, only another 10 posts or so and I am backini the top 25!

So are you going mod crazy on the S4? Not like it needs it but there are a few ripping up autocrosses, NASA track events, OneLap, etc.

Colin - This is a public board - it's totally stock

Kyle has taken it for a spin, he can give you a better idea of how quick it is.

The best way I can describe it is that it is really fast I still haven't goten to the tack yet (soon, soon), but let's just say that the new Impreza would have to have at least 300 hp, and more importantly, 300 ft.lbs. of torque to keep up. You can probably make the Impreza handle better on the track - I like the stock suspension on the S4 for my purposes.

Overall I like the car very much.

Here are some pics, taken by none other than Revision at Kyle's suspension install - done without air tools, no wimps allowed:
