Default wierd noise from rear diff

I jsut changed mu clutch. I have been driving my 02 wrx and I noticed a wierd noise from the read diff. I jacked the car up on jack stands and had somepne drive it. I isolated teh noise to the rear diff or rear driveshaft. It sounds like a piece of plastic griding on a tire or a bad brake pad. Any Ideas???

I noticed a strange noise coming from the same area but it was a clunking noise. Turned out my rear diff was shot. I had a Kaaz 1.5 way lsd put in and it made a hell of a difference.
