Default Interior: JDM STi Ver. V bucket seats

I was able to get me some JDM STi seats from a Ver. V.
http://images2.fotopic.net/?iid=ysv5...ze=1&nostamp=1
http://images3.fotopic.net/?iid=ysv5...ze=1&nostamp=1

I tried to dismount the seats so it would be easier to ship them home. I did mark the 'problem zones' in the pics and would be grateful any advice how to dismount those parts without braking anything.

Another answer I am looking for is, if the JDM seat console does fit in our LHD Impreza.

Many thanks in advance for any of your help!

CHeers,
Matt

What do you mean by seat console? Do you mean center console, where the shifter and ebrake are? If yes, I believe they are the same whether LHD or RHD.

if you are thinking that changin out the center console is going to clear the problem issues, it won't...they are the same. The knobs on the side of the chair are to go between the door and the seat, although some people have been able to put the adjustable seat on the drivers side.

Many thans for your answers.

garface, I don't know how you call that construction under the seats correctly. Yes, the centre console is almost the same. There are differences to our center console as the STi Ver. V and VI do have double din shafts. But that's going to be another project

Homemade WRX, I believe I kinda see the problem you are pointing out. Do you know where I can get more details how the others have managed the swap? Thanks.

Ah I see! Thanks garface for the pic.
About the 2DIN shaft, I actually don't know what you call the radio unit in english. There are two types of radio units. The older (single) I use (http://images1.fotopic.net/?iid=yffl...ze=1&nostamp=1) and the bigger radios (double DIN or something) in the newer WRX.

I finally managed to dismount the driver's seat. There are two screws in each side of the seats holding the brackets you see in the pics. They actually have to be dismounted... I am really looking forward to mount those things together... That's going to be a tricky and aweful story...

Thank you guys for your help anyways

CHeers,
Matt

You can fit a single or double din radio in your car right now, you don't need anything except the radio.

I am afraid I can't. Our EDM models have "extra features" like the switch for headlamp-washers, a ridiculously bright switch and stuff like that you can see above the radio unit in the pic I have posted. I remember the RS in the States doesn't have these features right?

The US one looks like this:

http://gallery13273.fotopic.net/p10459862.html The top hole is the HVAC controls and the lower hole is the double din. It's funny, because most people here probably want that instead of what we have while you want the opposite.

Didn't realize your location.
