Default JDM STI CLUTCH/Flyhweel

Has anyone used a JDM STI clutch/flywheel mated to a usdm 5 speed tranny casing? The JDM is a 9.5 inch and doesnt fit, wondering if anyone ground out the casing bell housing to make it fit, or just used a wrx flywheel. If so, what clutch did you upgrade to? Thanks, Matt

if your using a 5 speed, you need a 5 speed clutch/flywheel. the 6sp stuff wont work.
there are STi clutches and flywheels for 5spds, but its expensive.

Now I am thinking I shud sell my RA gearset that is brand new and on the car, buy a jdm 6 spd, but as I have learned there are a lot of small problems that arise when swapping and it takes time, and that is what I do not have. I need this car running, it has been over 6 months! HAH. I just got a ceramic Exedy tripple puck sprung hub, hope that is good enough, will install it later. I am using the jdm wrx flywheel, wondering if I shud switch that as well??? Any ideas?? Tks, Matt
