Question Which exhausts have dtm style tips?

I'm leaning toward Stromung cause my mom had a badass bmw 635 with a stromung exhaust that sounded sweet. But I love the dtm style look. Who makes an exhaust for N/A 01 RS with dtm tips? Also, what diameter is the stromung and why is the muffler black? If i recall, my mom's was black too.

Just read my own post. It sounds like I'm saying stromung have dtm tips. I know they don't, but that reminds me. Are there any major differences between their 2 different single tip styles besides the finish?

The only exhaust that does offer Dual 3" DTM's are Brullen's. It's $542US + shipping for a full T304 Stainless Steel cat-back on the RS.

The mild steel ones are black. DO NOT get the mild steel, it rusts terribly. Get the stainless one. It costs more but it is supposed to last A LOT longer. I just installed the single tip cat-back last night actually and it is awesome!

Tanabe makes a muffler for the RS. Go to www.nopionline.com to see it.

dual tiips bent up... easier to see than to try to visualize, look at the link i posted a few posts up, click on the image to goto the article and then the image again to see it enlarged, look at the tips on the exhaust

Here's a link to the Brullen systems :

http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...hlight=Brullen

There's a picture of the DTM style there.

eh, if you ask me, a single tip you can fit your entire fist into is more rice... although i'm still debating between the two cause a part of me likes gigantic single tips! hehe

Btw, what's the deal with Borla? I see it for like $150 less than most exhausts. It's pretty good though, right?

Borla's are only 2" OD... very tiny piping for a 2.5L engine... the 2.25" ID of the Brullen systems are more suitable.

I hate to break your hearts, but the Tanabe is NOT DTM, the picture shown is, but look at the text, the pipe is really a "90MM single" tip.

nomadtw - If you want a Brullen, you can get it either directly from me or from JCS or TRi Tuning.

JCS will have it on their site when the new one is launched.. if you have any Q's feel free to email me or PM me. You can also do a search, there are a few reviews etc of the systems.
