Take out the intake silencer, get an intake, or get a ball bearing turbo.

A turbo back exhaust will help also.

I just put my BPM MKIII system on and you can here the turbo all the time. Even through the tail pipe.

*edit*
My girlfriend`s car is a a 1.8T Jetta and boy can you hear the turbo whine. Her car turbo is still louder then mine. So I wouldn`t go comparing it to a VW.

Drain all the oil out.

It'll whine like crazy!

You want whine? Follow these simple instructions.

1. Cut a 3" section from a coat hanger.
2. Remove your intake boot & insert the coat hanger piece.
3. Button everything back up & start the motor.

Don't ask how I know that this works, it still hurts to think about.

Stealth-WRX,

I'm no expert, but I think part of your answer is in the BOV. This won't give you a lot of whine, but you will get that loud blow off of air sound. Check out the TurboXS page for more information.

The valve vents to atmosphere at sound pressure levels in excess of 110 db making it one of the loudest on the market. If you want a Blow Off Valve that looks, sounds and performs like no other blow off valve available in the market today, get the TurboXS Blow Off Valve Type H.

Get a 3" exhaust with no cats, no resontaor, and no muffler. You hear it perfectly that way.

I did the 3" exhaust with a Apexi Dunk muffler with no cats and my car sounds like a mack truck. You can hear the turbo crusing in every gear
