year of the rooster -- I just read in the Vancouver Sun today that:

Year of Rooster =
1. BAD year to get married in
2. GOOD year for fertility -- ie. (to get busy and have some kids)

Gung hay fat choy everyone!

Looks like Lansdowne Mall has a Chinese New Year night market starting Wed night. In case anyone wants to call a meet.. hint hint.

true..

then again, from my experience, Lansdowne Mall is *usually* not that bad (compared to the two riverport locations where summer night markets were held in recent years) -- parking chaos is usually "concentrated" in the vicinity of the one Lansdowne corner that the night market takes place in. The remaining "corners" of Lansdowne are usually more or less empty/free since people don't like to walk far.

perhaps those native to richmond have a better idea what it will be like.
