Thumbs up Pics From the ClubSi, S2000, SR20DE, NESIC Meet: Colt State Park

Here are some quick uploads from my digicam pics of the ClubSi, S2000, SR20DE, NESIC joint meet today at Colt State Park. There were some problems finding a place for everyone to park even though we had reserved a lot. Finally, our 4th lot was where everyone stayed and hung out for the remainder of the meet.

Since I can't seem to make Photopoint work for me, each post is an individual pic.

This first pic is of the line of 4 blue WRX sedans after we rolled in together. In the group were rkkwan, grandpa rex, joebloggz23 and myself.

Here is a line of Civics from the hosting club. There were some pretty decent cars there. Guys with nitrous, superchargers and turbos.

Here are a few of the Honda S2000's that were there that day. Damn, these are some beautiful freakin cars. Low, sleek, just plain mean. 240 HP with only 153 lb-ft but six speeds and LSD.

Hey Wilkey does your car have the front lip? From Sugar?

It looks awesome.

I wish Subaru would sell pre-painted body parts in yellow.

Wish I had gone. I was busy getting burnt at Hampton Beach.

i-clubber Dexter rolled in with a sleek rex sporting Motegi rims. Really nice. Not sure of the offset but good fender and strut clearance.

This guy in a silver WRX is going down to Maryland to get the Unichip treatment around the same time as gossamer_monster. That's a TurboXS blowoff valve and cone type intake.

Motegi rims? Those are the rims Natick Subaru is selling for quite a bit of $$$. P1's are cheaper! Are Motegis actually decent rims or are they "Team Loco"?

This RS has several thousand dollars worth of mods in the engine bay alone. Turbo, nitrous, Minnam IC...ass kicking.

Here's the bottle to go along with the turbo on that RS that'll make many V8's, M3's and DSM's cry.

Some more Scoobies lined up. Yes, that is a Chevy pickup truck. I forget what was in it but the engine bay was nicely kept.

Damn Wilkey,
You don't waste any time, huh?? Great pics!! That turbo'd RS with NOS is bad ass! He said, he ran, 12.6sec 1/4mile without NOS!! Not bad for a 2.5litre 4cylinder!!!!!

Ok, all done for now

Bill,
Yeah, that's the front lip underspoiler I got from Sugar. I love it...subtle but effective, and preserves the brake cooling ducts unlike the Cobb front spoiler. Man, owning a yellow rex does have its drawbacks. Like no colormatched body bits. I forgot the name of the guy in the silver rex, maybe he'll chime in here. Anyway, he's going down to TurboXS either the week before or after you.

Briank,
Mike (Dexter) got his rex with those rims. I don't know how much they were but he implied they were pretty inexpensive. He had curbed two of his rims and the repair quote was not far off from a new rim...unlike the WRX stock rim. In any case, the NESIC/i-club discount should make it a much more reasonable proposition.

KC,
Sorry I had to miss your GT3 night but I haven't even beaten all of GT or GT2 yet. Anyway, good luck on sunday!

Wilkey

Thumbs up Oh yeah! Props to all who made this a fun and successful joint meet

I totally forgot!

Thanks to Darcy (SirMilton) of ClubSi for inviting NESIC to this event. It was fun, well behaved and very educational. I personally think that joint meets with different cars are lots of fun for the variety of stuff you see, the barriers each platform has to deal with and the approaches to customization.

My hat goes off to the NESIC attendees as well for coming in such force. I actually think we outnumbered all the other platforms there today!

Didn't get to talk much with the S2000 guys. They seemed to stick to themselves except for this one guy who took an active interest in the WRXs. Oh well.

That's it! Anyone have any ideas for possible joint meets in the future? How would the DSMers be inclined towards a joint meet. It might not be out of the question to hook up with the mustangs or other domestics. I learned about needle-bearing washers for the front coilover perches from the 5.0 folks.
