Default Can ACT, Exedy or Spec Stage 1 Pressure plate work with stock clutch disc?

I found a deal on a Spec Stage 1 pressure plate. It uses the organic disc. Can I just buy a new OEM WRX clutch disc? Same question goes for the exedy and the act stage 1's. Because I was told it was only the pressure plates that are the upgraded piece. Thanks!
