Default Ej20g Wiring ?

K I am doing the wiring on my ej20g and i am confused about what to splice in when it comes to the main relay, so far i am under the impression that i am going to wire in jdm wire(d5,Lg) to usdm wire(A18,Lg) is this correct?
also there seems to be 2 other wires coming from the jdm ecu going to the main relay, jdm wires(A13, and A2) can somebody out there give me some help i did a search and all i came up with was questions about the wiring going through the firewall which on this swap i thought wasnt an issue if you had a uncut wiring harness. here is the website i have been using for my wiring

http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co.uk/

any help would be greatly appreciated thanks,
Mike

The 2 wires that are paired that go to the JDM ecu is the power source from the main relay. The only other power wire that goes to the ecu is the ecu back-up power and that should be live all the time. Sounds like that other wire(D5) is the shut off control.

The main relay has basically two power outputs. One is the power to the ecu, the other is the power supply for stuff like injectors, oxygen sensor, boost control valve, purge, etc.

Closest wiring to the EJ20G is a Lecacy Turbo (91-92). Some of the Euro cars have slightly different wiring/color codes.

I admit these wires were confusing for me too. I am not sure about the GF8 but on my car the main relay control(self shut-off) Lg came directly from the ecu. Where on the ej20g that (Lg) wire is also connected to b12 Y (ignition switch). This connection is made through a Diode. What I did was find the Y wire from the ignition switch, buy a 1 amp diode from radio shack, connect the Y wire to the Lg wire with the diode.

So you should have a Y wire coming from Fuse N.16 it will power your coils. You will also have a Lg wire that runs from your ecu(d5) to the main relay. All you have to do is connect the Y wire to the Lg wire with the diode. When you hook it up make sure the white stripe on the diode is on the side of the Lg wire.

I hope that didnt confuse you more. It took me a while to figure out. There may be a different way to do it but I know this way works. I have over 6k on my ej20g and Im lovin it.

Sounds like you need to get a wiring diagram for the two cars. The wire colors do change from car to car so you really want to check that.
