Default FS: 2004 USDM STI Shortblock In Maine, $500

I figured I would post this here since I perfer to sell this shortblock locally . So here it goes . I have a USDM STI shortblock with 12000 miles on it . It is in perfect condition except for the fact that it has a stuck ring in cylinder #4 . It has a 1/2" wear mark on the cylinder wall that you can see but it is not deep enough to feel with your fingers . Other than that the other cylinders and block are in great shape . I am asking $500 and perfer pick up . I live in Maine(04103) . Thanx for your time . Dave

Did you put a new block in that thing. I think I saw you fathers day if you were the one that ran 12.0xx @ 124 or somthing close to that and then blew an oil line and smoked all the way down the track. Anyways If I had some cash I would consider it.

No offense here, but you cannot tell if a cylinder ring and wall will seal with your fingers. You'd need new rings and to see if the crosshatch is still visable.

I never said that the cylinder did not have to be reworked I was just stateing the fact that the wall is scored by a stuck ring but not bad enough to feel with your finger . Of corse it is ruined until new rings and machining is done . The cylinder only read 70psi durring a cold compression test that I performed before I yanked the motor .

Yes that was me during fathers day that ran a 12.01@117 with a 1.70 60' . I have been busy at the shop so my car had to come last on the priorities list . Now it comes first ! I have a Crawford S3L shortblock . I am sticking with the stock heads for now . I have also added an Exedy twin plate, SBR GT-13(external gate), Perrin fuel rails, Deleted tubler valves, yanked AC, Custom IC pipes, Custom aluminum inlet pipe, Magnus intake manifold, UTEC (i was running a crappy emange before because noone could get there hands on a utec), and other than that the rest is all little details to make 425 AWHP on pump gas and hoping for 450 TQ . I may add water injection to the mix but I am not sure right now . I may buy a bigger radiator and oil cooler first ? I will keep you guys informed !

Dave, I saw you at NED that day nice car, it was sad to see what happened. I too blew mine later in the year. I had the Red 98 GC8 that ran mid 12's all day.
Do you talk to the guy's from RPM video Jay and Nate?
