Question used wheels from the states?

just wondering how much duty and taxes would i pay if i bought used wheels from the states?
the wheels are about $800us and the og. bill is for $1900us.
anyone have any experience with this? any info would be helpful.

dont know much about duty and tax... but I paid $73 for my used utec from the states...

I guarantee the shipping will be painful

I had a quote from UPS for US$50 per wheel before

i bought mine used from the us....cost was $91 us for shipping through ups and
$45 canadian for duty...just get the seller to say that the wheels are worth $250

i didn't buy rims but i bought a cluster for $600 usd and i didn't pay anything for tax..."DHL"

my wheels are being shipped to Blaine as we speak. It's a lot easier and cheaper if I clear customs myself, and bring them across. Basically, you have to pay GST and PST, and unless your wheels are made in mexico or America, you pay 7% duty. A $800 set of wheels will cost you $168 in tax.

It hurts, but blame our wonderful gov't. We need to pay for free heroin and tattoos in jail somehow.....

Thats what I thought when i got my downpipes. Then 1-2 months later I got a bill from customs.

Yeah they love doing that to people, always with the late bills, if its a high priced item I'd just send it to point roberts and go pick it up myself. Shipping from us to canada is hell as it is, esp for rims too.

FedEx billed my air splitter and radiator shroud... 2 weeks after I got them .... for a few days I was so happy that I wasnt charged

i paid for about $1,500 USD worth of stuff recently and I didnt pay much brokerage. Shipping was about $100 USD in total and
brokerage was only about $140 CDN for everything.

I did Fed-ex ground.
