Default USDM 04+ STi HID kit usable in the 04+ JDM Housings?

I was reading this site that was selling the JDM STi 04+ HID headlight housings and they had a disclaimer saying that the USDM HIDs (bulbs + ballasts) arent usable in the JDM headlight housings, thus, should be bought as well...can anyone verify this??

Well, i would think they'd be the same, unless somehow they use different bulbs or different wattage bulbs.
