Default High temp grease on the bulb?

Got me some new bulbs..for the headlamp..dude at the shop said put some high temp grease on the ends of the connector rods for longer light bulb life duration? anyone else hear of this?

Huh?
You mean like dielectic(sp) stuff they put on spark plug wires? I always thought that was to keep them from a) corroding and b) sticking. Bah.

If he put anykind of grease or oil on the glass part of the bulb then expect to be replcing them in about a week.
