Next time put it in the EM forum...Go to autozone or a pepboys and have them pull the code, go to EM forum and ask

What mods have you done?

According to the manual, you should take it to the dealer. However, you can also get it scaned at AutoZone if there's one near you can see if any other such placed offer scanning. Depending how close the Subaru community is where you live, maybe someone with scanning software will be able to read the code as well.

Of course, once you know the code, you;ll need to find out what's causing it. Here there can be a lot of different possibilities, and even dealers can get this wrong (intentionally or not; there are plenty of examples out there).

Some basic things to check:
A flashing CEL is a misfire of some sort; you usually can't miss the feeling even without the light.

Is your gas cap loose? Has it been loose lately? This will cause a CEL for a while.

What exhaust work (if any) has been done lately? The sensors could be thrown off by your modifications.

You didn't read the Sticky post, which is the first post in this forum. And I spent an hour last night re-organizing it for better viewing too.
