the cost per wheel is $375.00.

here is why,

In a specialized process perfected by Alumax, uniquely structured alloy billets are heated to a
semi solid state (the consistency of soft butter) and molded in a specifically engineered
forging press. Through an exclusive contract with Alumax, SSR has further developed this
technology and is the only manufacturer in the world today producing Semi-Solid Forged
alloy wheels. This ultra high tech forging technology creates a very strong and light weight
wheel ideal for street or track.

Those are nice.. but I can't afford to drop $1500 on wheels alone.

Oh well.

Luke,

Since those are heat treated wheels, would you able to tell me what is the base alloy and the Rockwell hardness on those wheels?
You've mentioned the newest shipment for the scooby fitment, so they have an offset of +53?
Do they have any warrenty at all?

wRTx-
The '50' in '17x7.5 ET50' means it has a +50mm offset, FYI. Anything 50 and above is just about perfect.

Not to break anyone's heart, but SSR is not the only company that has SSF wheels. For example, the CP-035 is an SSF wheel.

The SSF process is how Prowler front lower a-arms are made....

Anyhoo, can I get these wheels in 16" or 15" diameters?

We are looking into the gold versions at this time. All wheels which are madw using the "SSF: technology are made by Speed Star Racing (SSR)

I originally posted this thread just to let everybody know that they are available not as an advertisment. Then I answered a question about pricing.

Hey,
I don't mind an occasional product availability announcement here. After all, TireRack did practically buy this forum. Keep em coming...I just wish we could get a little off the prices...still looking for the "added value" part of the equation.

Luke,

Does TireRack carry any 17" R-Compound tires for the Impreza? Preferably 215/40-17 or 215/45-17.

Also, How about a 16" version?

Thanks,

Tim

Don't take these wheels down any rough stuff, and always be sure you have plenty of air in your tires.

Kinda expensive to repair / replace.
