.....man......you just gotta read and read some more around here......that question is VERY nebulous....and you better wait at least a couple months before you make any motor decesion or you will likely will make the wrong one....

Take Uncle Scotty's advice. The first thing you should do is read everything on the boards that you can related to engine building. If I needed a new engine, I wouldn't be getting another USDM WRX engine. Do the research and you'll find your own answers.

check cobbtuning, they sell bullet-proofed shortblocks. although i really discourage you from buying a new engine until you do your research more...
