Default Ahhhhhhhhh HELP! My mom is out right now to buy a forester 2.5x

She is looking at a brand new vehicle:

It has:

1disc cd changer,
steel wheels with covers,
floor mats,
1300miles

I really dont want her getting screwed

What should she pay?

Brand new with 1300 miles? I think not. Look at the local used market and offer accordingly. It is not a new car.

We just bought a 1998 w/47,000 for $10k prestine Forester L.

I would say not more than $19k

Make sure it is not a fleet car.

Carsdirect.com will get you into a base model for $18,800. Dealers will typically go lower. As an example, Carsdirect priced out a WRX wagon for me last week at $22,240 but three local dealers quoted me $21,995. Her price will vary depending on if she is doing cash/finance and if she has a trade in. My guess is you should be able to get it for at least the $18,800 if not the low 18's if she has no trade.
