Default la la la....

the board seems so dead these days...
so i'm gonna tell a story:

(short version) got a ticket today, interesting experience. didn't cry.

(long version)
So i was leaving richmond from oak bridge and going through the uphill part around 65th street.
Saw a 'jail police truck' on the left lane at a red light. so i cut to the middle open lane.
Green light a i go. accelerating and minding my own business. then suddenly, red and blue flashy lights and sirens behind me
All the cars including me pulled over, and guess what, the police was right behind me. we all stopped. then nothing happened, then traffic rolled on, so i rolled on. then sirens again!
*shiet*
so he walked over. asked for licence registration. told me i was doing 80. for some reason i said i was going 70. he said, yeah, that's speeding.
he asked, how's your record? told him got a ticket 2 years ago. but i forgot about the one this year in january at ubc.
-10 minutes later-
came back and thinks i'm lying. ask me where i'm going, what i do, where i came from, what's the hurry.
told me he gave me minimum of $138. *yey*

my turn to ask:
1) were you going 50? --> yeah, of course
2) these cars are all going more than 50. --> do you want me to pull them all over? *haha*
3) no, but do police get tickets? --> yeah, of course we do! just got one last week in Port Moody when i'm off duty for $196!
4) oh really, thought police get a break. --> no way, 50 is so f*cking slow! when i'm in a cop car, i have to keep the streets safe and drive slow. but it's my job to speed when i'm a citizen. (exact quote)
5) so do you pay them or dispute? --> i pay all of them, because i am guilty.
6) wow, but i'm poor, can't afford it. --> um, maybe you can pay monthly, or you can dispute, but if you do, i'll just see you in a year in court.
7) oh, ic. thanks. --> nice car you have, enjoy it, just try to drive slower k?

the whole incident took over 30 minutes!!! i've never talked to a police for that long before, but then again, he was really cute (hot)! no seriously, i was stupid to have sped pass him. but i'm still gonna dispute it, no $$$. damn, been running into police a lot.... anyway

thanks for reading! drive slow! several subarus and a nice STi drove by. sigh. such bad luck today......

and yey! i didn't cry for the first time getting pulled over

I didn't know those paddy wagons pull people over too.. but I still try to be careful when I'm around one of those. Never know if they are gonna radio ahead to a cruiser or not.

Thanks for the story Mynx.

Does crying ever work? Maybe just for girls I suppose. I have to try it sometime.

It seems like all the VIC'ers are getting tickets these days. What's going on? Is it because it's close to the end of the month and they have to reach a quota?

Anyway, keep it safe people, and watch out for the fuzz.

Buahaha...that's awesome. Now I shall go and do my job as a citizen.

Perhaps not...

it worked for mynxi hahaha. I wonder what would happen if a male does that. Would the cop be sympathetic?

i dunno if they would feel sympathetic, but i bet they would think you were really pathetic or something and just leave you alone (which is ok too)

I don't know what the hell that attitude would be - so even by the cops' standard, 50 is probably too slow around town. Safety my arse...

yeah just spent $144 yesterday on clothes, and now this. could've gotten shoes for sure!
this was the nicest cop i've met so far. another one gave me a warning and a huge lecture on how i can ruin my wonderful life ahead of me if i got into an accident, he looked like santa claus... haha crying does work~~
was too pissed off today to cry though. oh well.
at least he was a good looking cop.
