Default Bulb works only in high beam

I have a pair of Sylvania Silver Stars in my car. Had them on for about 2 years now. Great lighting for a cheap price. Well, looks like one bulb went out on me... oh so it seemed. During day-light driving mode and high beam mode, the bulb lights up, just don't know. Is it an electrical thing? Or should I just get a new bulb.. It's a $20 question.. Just curious. Thanx All.

9007s are dual filament bulbs, so it's entirely possible for one to burn out and the other to still work. If this is the case though it shouldn't work in DRL mode since that uses low beams.

I had one bulb when I first bought my car that the filament was broken in, it was wierd because if you hit the housing, it would make the bulb work (filiment would touch and "weld" itself together) then when you turned them off, it would stop working again (filament would un-weld).

Just go get a new set of bulbs (and always buy bulbs in 2's).
