Default New Tune Needed W/ Stronger Wastegate Spring??

I am about to swap out the wastegate spring in my vf34 for something stronger (~1 bar spring) and was wondering if this would require a new tune. Thanks

I am curious as to the correct answer, so I will attempt a partial answer in order to bump your question to the top, and encourage a more complete, correct answer.

I would guess that a stronger wastegate spring will allow higher boost which, in turn, will require that you retard timing and/or provide a richer Air:Fuel Ratio to avoid detonation.

From what I understand, I don't think it will necessairly cause you to boost more, although it may allow you to hold boost at a higher rpm (depending on how your ecu is programmed). In my case, I am using cobb's accessport, and it is programmed to hit 16.5psi. My ported wastegate in my vf34 is causing the wastegate flapper to open prematurely at 13psi. I am hoping that the stronger spring will resist the backpressure, causing it to open only when it hits target boost. I hope that makes sense? If anything, I would think that it would be the wastegate duty cycle that needs to be changed via tuning.
