Default So, why do you think the Government is hiding the car that runs on water?

We all know it HAS to exist at our technology level, but they just won't let us have it.

Do they want to wait for water to be our last remaining resource,

or they simply want to keep our constant flow of oil money,

or would a car that runs on water destroy the earth and all of mankind with it's super cool hypnotic powers?

If the question is: Why is the government hiding X, Y, or Z? The answer is always: money.

So it HAS to exist because you hope it does?

I'd love to see a compression engine running off of water. That'd be some special water.

I don't believe it exists... they aren't hiding anything. THe question is: Why have they precluded the development of the technology with their bad policy?

We have a winner! That's as simple as it gets. Special interest groups and lobbyists = money. Lose their support and you lose money.

Expect oil prices to spike at $60-70/barrel, at times.

if by water you mean vapor, then Welcome to the 1900. Unless its a nuclear fision engine that separates the H2 from the O, and uses an hydrogen engine to power the car

i think its the same business as the cigarett companies, the goverment knows its bad, but it brings lots of tax dollars in so why ban them.

Such a simple mind... like a child's. It's not a compression or combustion engine... it simply aligns the roation of the H atoms in water, and makes use of the sympathetic frequencies. Sheesh. It's not rocket science!

Considering how most technological development in the U.S. is done by private companies, it amazes me that people still think the government has the ability to control all this information.

The government doesn't know about most technological innovations going on today. No one lets information of a significant discovery leave their company until they've arranged all patents and other protective measures.

That's actually the answer to pretty much any question. Follow the money trail and you'll get your answer to anything.

Ah, but the patent department is part of Big Brother! Every time they receive patents for everlasting gobstoppers, they send some G-Men around to bust heads.

the government would never hide anything from us. like the SR-71 Blackbird. the public was aware of that aircraft the moment it first took flight.

Well if it's so simple - you go design a car that runs on water and profit.

If you are talking about the Hydrogen powered cars, the car companies are tentative to commit to it because there is no infrastructure to support them. You need filling stations, supply to refill the filling stations etc.

In the mean time, the oil companies are trying their hardest to block this progress (as was said on numerous occasions already) for money.

At their press conference at the LA Auto show, BMW claimed that they will have a production hydrogen powered variant of the current 7-series (before the next body redesign).
