04 STI one is going for $550. But, no one was selling. So, I bought new one instead for $645. It was well worth it. Yes, buy used if you can and save money!

I mentioned this in a different post but... On one hand you are buying a used product not necessarily from Cobb or an authorized reseller and most often from a private party.

However, on the other hand... how often does one really use their AccessPort. It's not something you keep plugged into your OBDII port. So a used AccessPort may have been plugged in only a hadful of times... personally, I used it once to flash my ECU when I first received the AP, then reflashed my ECU when Cobb introduced an upgrade MAP. So, in my case I used it twice. Then if I decide to sell it, I'll have to unmarry the AP from my ECU and so it would be my third.

Of course, there are othetr prolific users... some may use the real-time boost gauge (although I'm not sure why anyone would for an extended period of time since the AP would be rather obstrusive plugged into the port.

There may be others that may switch to other MAP's more often... but really how often can that be?! Personally, I'm too lazy.

YMMV

Considering a new one is $600, I would just get the new one.

Are they worth it? I've been thinking about it for my Outback XT, but 1) does it void warranty? and 2) can you feel the difference (both performance and gas mileage).

Thanks,
Nawar

I have been told it adds 30-40Hp and makes the car feel 100 times smooither. I cant wait because i have a uppipe and turbo back exhaust so I will be a true stage 2. I bet it also increases MPG but I am not sure.

No it does not void the warrenty because dealers can not see you have reflashed your ECU. If you have more questions check out www.cobbtuning.com and look under the FAQ's part.

the cobbtuning webpage also has a forum with FAQ's along with a section on FAQ's for the beginner. I am real excited about getting the product. I just want my car to run more smooth and not so rich like it does now. The AP increased boost, fuel and air levels to the mods that you have on your car.
