Default Sti pistons on a 98 2.5RS

will the sti pistons fit in a 98 dohc 2.5engine??? I'm going turbo and I they gave for free 4 new sti pistons and I'm wondering if I can use them for lowering my compresion???

i believe they are a different size and do not work. Plus the pistons still arent all that strong, they would lower your compression though, but dont fit so they wont

They're the right size, but the wrist pin location is off, so the pistons will not be in the right position in the cylinder. IIRC, they would sit 1-1.5mm deeper into the cylinder then they should, so the piston will never reach actual TDC.

hmm, interesting, thanks for the info.

Oh, and 8complex, way OT here, but i was told you were one of the first to respond to the "grap on my tired" thread a long while ago, and i was wondering if you had a link to it, i have wanted to read it again for some reason. lol.
