Show me a wiring diagram for the keyless module and I can give you a better write-up for the 02 cars. I assume it will be the exact same as the older cars.

I am afraid you are on your own.

You need to sit down with a volt meter and check the wires coming out of the keyless module. Find one that gives you power when the dome light is off and no power when it is on.

Then find any other wire nearby that has power all of the time.

Put them to either side of the keylight and you should be golden.

has anyone ordered 84661FC010 and confirmed it's the right part? I suppose I should just head over to the dealership and have them look it up - subaruparts.com shows it as listing for $26, but doesn't give a description. Is it literally just the ring with the bulb in it? Have you tried just running the wires up to the dome light to see if that works? (it should - just tap on either side of the bulb)

Yes - I picked it up at my dealership. It comes with the ring, a green light and about 6-8 inches of wiring to a little connector.

So did you get it all hooked up? Would you be able to provide a write-up? How much did the parts run you?

Alright, I did this on my GC, but with my 02 Wagon not having this I have ordered it and will do a write up once I get it.

Stay tuned
