Force simulation for driving games (video)

anyone who plays driving sims knows one of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of "feel." this company makes a chair that tries to simulate it.

That's SO cool. probably conducive to carsickness though. I'd pay a lot for one of those.

$10k - 30K for what seems to be the standard model. i would need a nawz button.

I wonder if they'd just sell the logic box for it and let you fab your own chair.

That is the coolest thing I've seen in quite some time. Unfortunately I'll never be able to afford it.

Eventually a home model will come down in price, but it will be a long time. I know someone made a home version where the seat would go forward and back based on the sound of the car, it wasn't that expensivejust hard to make.

I played a arcade machine that did the same thing for "Cruisin' USA", it was interesting. It was in a bar/pool hall right next to Fenway Park, right at the complete dead end of the street behind the green monster.
