Default tire and rim width?

alright so i'm picking up some falken azenis sunday from a member here on the boards and i was just wondering if it would be fine to mount them on the stock wrx/2.5rs (2002-2004) rim?

the rim is 16x6.5
the tire is 215/45/16zr

on the falken tire website it said that the tire is for 7 inch wide rims but i've ran a 225/45/16 tire and im not sure what the difference is. can someone please clarify? if i cant use these tires for these rims i'll probably be looking for the older 2.5rs rims that are 7" wide

I don't think you can mount 16" tires on 17" rims Should be fine to put 215's on your stock rims.

Those will fit fine on a 6.5" rim , there have been dozens and dozens of folks run that same tire on the same rim (rim is the same as the WRX)

Yeah, they get a little geasy...but they're still fun. You'll love the stick and turn-in...hate the noise...
