oh ya that thread on honda-tech is bogus, i personally went to japanstar and everything was straight forward and went great. so if u are a forum whore and believe everything you read then it makes japanstar sound 'bad'.

trying to stay true to the chassis. thats all.

i dunno about japan star, they are pretty local to me. my bro got an sr20det motor for his s14 car recenty. but not from them, he got it from noyans. basically in the same area. the reason why he didnt go to japan star i think was because of bad things he heard from informative guys in the MD/VA/DC area.

i dunno... those 4/5/6 motors comes with everything, but i think they are missing some important aspects like driveshaft and differentials.

Didnt they have the motors laying around in piles and made you pick threw them because they didnt know what was what? Iirc.

nah the other way around, they had 12 ej207/6speed units sitting on the floor ready to be bought, and told me to pick one because there "all the same." Well i got a jdm ver8 spec C for the same price as a jdm ver7 plain jane wagon sti drivetrain.

aznstiImpreza - ok dont say i didnt try to help you. Japanstar is all business men that dont know anything at all abiout subarus, and this is why its good for us becuase we get better prices and deals than other places.

the ecu, crank, block, and avcs are all reasons to go 7/8 and not 4/5/6.

I Bought my V5 swap from Full Throttle NYC.. They did the install and all the wiring as well.. My car runs great.. i love it
