Default Where Can I find a listing of Engine Serial numbers and related years?

Can someone point me to a cross reference that will identify what year my engine is? I can find lots of VIN xrefs but no engine list. I have an EJ25 with a serial that starts with 77L... I believe.

Are you looking for Serial Numbers, or engine VINs?

I believe this should be of some help with both Chassis clarification, and engine numbers.

Engine serials numbers mean next to nothing on these cars. What exactly are you trying to identify?

I was looking to determine the year of an engine, not VIN, based on serial number, figuring that there had to be some logic to the number like the VIN.
